Today myself, my friends, and my family lost someone very dear to us who deserved to live a long and happy life, but who was instead claimed over the course of an incredibly difficult battle with cancer. I wasn't the closest to her out of all of us, but I still feel absolutely devastated by the news - and filled with a terrible regret that I'm not sure she knew just how much I appreciated knowing her too. She was a fantastic teacher and practically a second mother to us all, and it's truly tragic that she is no longer with us.

And I'm really, really not impressed. Cheap anime-knockoff look, animation that looks like it was done in flash and in separate pieces which were later assembled into Rayne, health hazards that are BARELY indicated, extremely repetitive enemies (you fight the exact same ONE vampire enemy through the whole first level - we're talking cloned down to the clothes), and a level of difficulty that treads over the line from challenging to frustrating far too often - and that's just in the demo. I mean, I'm currently at a bit that says "Head Hop - Hop off enemies' heads!" and then has a stack of enemies that may as well not be there AT ALL when I try

Good news! Took the old unit in along with two games for trade, and managed to get a refurbished PS3 Slim 160GB for ELEVEN BUCKS. Getting it all set up now, and with any luck I won't have to worry about PS3 death for a while, knock on wood!

I've noticed lately that in the games I play, character models will have long thin "spikes" shooting out of them for no discernible reason - I've been told that this is one of the first indicators that I'm on my way to a YLoD. :(

I don't want my PS3 to be on the way out, I seriously can't afford a new one if it breaks and it's the only next-gen system I have left! I have all these games for it! This
